If you feel like not paying the small amount they ask monthly you can still watch most of what they have to offer but not on the launching date of those episodes, you will have to wait three days before you can watch your favorite anime. Also I noticed that if you want to listen to the Jpop/Jrock music videos, you better be a premium member of the site, since its extremely annoying to get advertising interrupting your video.

So what can you expect to get from Crunchyroll then? You can expect to get that type of anime that is highly praised, and anime with a lot of fans. Do not hope to find those small pearls out there among the anime series and movies since they usually don’t ammas a huge amount of fans all over the world. That pointed out, this site has a lovely collection of licensed anime’s, Drama’s and music Videos. There is one downside for some of us, it all depends in what area of the world you live if you can watch ALL the material. Since I live in Finland I can not watch any Drama on this site since they don’t have the license for Finland.

Except the large collection of both anime and Drama ( Both J-Drama and K-Drama ) the site has a pretty lively forum side with a lot going on. You can read and post and interact with people talking about anime, manga, lifestyle, games, movies and music and much, much more. The site seem to have a lot of different ages amongst its members, so be prepared that some forum posts might seem a bit childish and then again some might be very academical ( even on a very high university level, especially some sociology type of articles…. which I find funny to read on such a site )

Even though Crunchyroll has its drawbacks if you live in the wrong country, and even though its database of series is yet to grow its a site I gladly pay to be a member on.
