Final stage of Alempijevic.com was born from the desire to understand what drove the Author to such affection towards Japanese Pop Culture and Japan overall where Tokyo did hit the spot right on. Boban Alempijevic is a Sociology Academic with a huge interest in anything cultural, organizational and environmental. Only lately has he been acknowledging the cultural side being the strongest one of his interests, mostly due to him finally going out openly showing everyone around him exactly how much Japan and its Culture, specifically the pop culture, has influenced him and his life.
The site is here as a platform to try to understand what in the Japanese pop culture is so strongly affecting people outside Japan. Articles posted here will span all of the Japanese pop Culture and some “general culture” as well such as Japanese cuisine, martial art, history, daily news, language and much more.
Even though the desire is to understand from a clean point of view an academical approach will be a base when writing the articles, but no academical language will be used or references to theories. This site is here to try to understand the Japanese pop culture from a more emotional and personal level but with a clean view taken om the academical world.
