Japanese Movies

I was 10 when my fathers old friends movie renting shop went out of business. My father bought up a LOT of movies from his friend to help him out to pay of debts. Among these where the first anime I ever watched but that was not all of it. Most of the movies he bought up back then in end of the 1980′s where Asian movies. It was about an even split between Japanese and hong Kong Movies. So I guess it was not only anime that I was brought up with but also Asian movies from Hong Kong and most importantly from Japan. Now Japanese just like the Hong Kong movie industry made a HUGE amount of movies back then, they still do actually and I still watch them. Since I live in Scandinavia ( brought up in Sweden and now a days living in Finland, I have usually a problem of getting hold of these movies if I am not ordering them from the net directly from Japan that is.

The first problem for me is not the buying part though, I still do not speak Japanese and its hard for me to follow Japanese sites about new movies that are coming out. That is why I have been searching the net and also following sites that are in English and are about Asian movies ( Now a days I watch South Korean movies as well, and they are usually VERY good )

I decided to start up a list here on this page listing all the sites I am using to check out the latest news on Asian movies. The list will slowly grow here as I am finding good sites from time to time, so make sure to keep an eye out on this page if you are like me in a need of finding new good movies sites that are reviewing Asian movies.

• Nippon Cinema – This site is one of the greater one in my opinion. Its list of Japanese movies is simple incredible. I usually just glance fast at reviews and dont bother much about what other people think about the movies but those that do, this site is great for that area as well.

• Japanese Movies List 2011 – I am not sure if this is a full list of Nippon Movies that where made in 2011 but it sure has some great titles in the list.

• Japan Movie Times – This site is a site I can not use, unless I travel to Japan that is. It is a site for those going to japan though or for those living there I guess You can find movie theater all across Japan on this site, its simple great for when your craving starts going beserk and you simple HAVE to watch a movie at the movie theaters

• CD Japan – Now this site is NOT only for Movies, you can find a LOT of things, even anime, Jpop and dolls, nendoroids and a lot more. What makes this site great is that it actually ships outside Japan as well. It may take some time to go through everything they have but its worth it, its like a small mecha for Japan lovers that simple have to have music, movies, anime and o forth directly from japan
